I'd go back to the shop with both the new PC and the monitor and let them have a look.

I bought a new computer last week and after building it with the help of a technician in the store we plugged it in and everything worked fine. When I got it home though and plugged it into my own monitor, I'm not getting anything to display.
I've checked all the cables, and nothing seems to be unplugged. Everything turns on, the graphics card is getting power, and the monitor works just fine with my laptop. I feel like the more I mess around inside only half knowing what I'm doing (I tried removing the RAM and putting it back in as well as the graphics card), the more damage I'm doing than good.
I don't think I'm doing anything wrong, but I can't figure out why the monitor won't display anything and I feel like nothing I try is working. Some tips to point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
