No longer seeing/hearing ANY video/audio clips

by zlzpqx / March 29, 2014 8:05 AM PDT

I used to be able to see/hear until today without any problem video/audio clips such as in YouTube and hear music from music web sites. For some reason which I cannot at all fathom, I cannot see any video clips or hear music from any web sites.(My loudspeakers ARE "on'!)

I got a hint from one music web site that "Adblock may be preventing you from hearing music" from that web site. I recall having activated Adblock in the past on my computer and also having seen the list of web sites blocked by Adblock on my computer. But Adblock had never prevented me in the past from seeing/hearing any video/audio clips. Anyway, when I tried to look up the list of web sites which might be blocked on my computer by Adblock (so as to be able to edit that list if necessary), I had no success today in looking up the list. (I imagine that in the past I must have looked up the list just through a Google search for "Adblock.")

Many thanks in advance for the help about above two baffling problems --one concerning not being able to see/hear any video/audio clips, and the other concerning not being able to see the Adblock list.

When I access ANY video/audio web site, a constantly flickering donut-like tiny circle appears and then stays on my computer screen.

I have Windows 7 on my computer.

Just Restarting My Computer Solved 1st of My Two Problems!
by zlzpqx / March 29, 2014 8:40 AM PDT

After posting my above message (and the message providing some "Additional Information"), I thought of trying the "remedy" of just restarting my computer; and the remedy did solve the first of the two mysterious problems!

I still am interested in having help regarding the second problem of seeing the list of web sites filtered by Adblock on my computer.
