Unplug the cable at port 1 or the TP link and see if that works on a laptop. If it does, then the switch is down. You didn't write it if the power is showing.
If it does not, then use a factory made cable at the E2500 to port 1 to your PC for a test to see if the router port 1 is dead.
I find most of the time it's home made cable failures.

My set up is as follows. motorola sb6121 cable modem connected to the "internet" port of my linksys E2500 wireless router. Cat6 cable from port 1 of the linksys router to port 1 of my TP link (TL-SG1016) 16 port gigabit switch.
I get a good wireless signal and internet connection but none of my cat 6 wall jacks that connect back to the switch will give me a network connection. Even if i connect a cable directly to a port on the switch I get nothing. Am I missing something in the router settings? This is a new set up and I'm not sure why it's not working. Thanks
