Question

No internet

hello, i have a problem.
i thought it was comodo but it isnt.
i use a vpn and now i am using zone alarm free firewall and avast free antivirus. but after i put my pc to sleep, and wake up again, i have no internet anymore. i thought deleting comodo would solve the problem but i thought wrong.

any help with this?

The common solution is to install the latest drivers from the makers site for the motherboard and/or the network adapter.
The common work-around is to not use sleep, but try hibernate and if that doesn't work shutdown and reboot.

I don't think it's related to using the VPN. But it's worth a try to see if it makes a difference if you don't.
Same for Zonealarm.

i just figured out that i have the same problem with zonealarm firewall
about the drivers, the laptop was second hand but got updated before selling to me
its a Dell

ok, i got the updates, the problem is fixed now (on the first impression) but now i still have 2 questions:
zone alarm gives 2 attempts
when i go with my mousepointer over wifi icon i see 2 connections: 'unknown network' and my own network. is unknown network my vpn?
