Welcome to the forum, Jeff.

Is the DVD player set to output via component?

Also, what resolution is the DVD player outputting?

Welcome to the forum, Jeff.

Is the DVD player set to output via component?

> how can i find out? i can't see anything on the screen except "no input". i presume it's whatever the default is since i haven't changed anything.

Also, what resolution is the DVD player outputting? you have to change settings to get progressive so it's below that i presume.

> again, i presume it's whatever the default is.

> we're in a catch 22. i can't see the dvd settings since i can't display anything from the dvd. i may end up taking this stuff back. i don't know what else to do. can you help?

thanks. jw

Resolutions...
Dec 5, 2008 6:29AM PST

Jeff,

A few things to try. If you hook up the audio from the DVD player to the T240HD, does it work?

I'm assuming we already know that it will output on a regular television, but can you confirm this?

I found out today that for that panel, resolution would be any of the formats that the DVD player is likely to output, so that actually saves us a step. Some DVD players have a toggle switch on the back of the unit - check to see if switching that (if it exists) changes anything.

Keep me posted!
