Question

No Default printer selected - But it is

Apr 18, 2014 1:49AM PDT

Hopefully another minor issue on my new HP Pavilion Slim line model 400-214 desktop computer with windows 8.1 installed and updated per control panel update area. All updates done.

Situation, went to manufacture web site to get the latest drivers, 64 bit, for my Epson Stylus NX305 model printer. FYI, I installed and uninstalled drivers twice trying to resolve issue. In "devices" area, Epson printer is set as "default". So, I can pint a web page. Good. I can print from Notepad. Good. I can print from Word Pad. Good. I can print a "word" processor page from my installed "Microsoft Works suite" word processor program. Good.

However, I "cannot" print a spreadsheet from the same installed "Microsoft Works suite". Message comes up that states: No Default printer selected.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions,

Eddie

Clarification Request
I didn't find Windows 8 listed as a supported OS for Works.

Don't panic, go get LibreOffice and copy/paste your spreadsheet to one in LibreOffice.

Also, I'm keeping my eye on Calligra. Do not download from other than the original sites for these as many sites will get you extra stuff you don't want.

I was hoping to find a site - where is it?

If I'm going to be on this computer I need to know what I can and cannot download and install.

I'll use anything that works, no pun intended.

Thanks for replying Bob
