My cursor vanished and refuses to reinstall even after I put on a new Windows XP professional on a formatted C drive. After two hours with Dell technicians the problem still exists.Any ideas????

Gotta start with the basics. Try the mouse on another machine and change that PS/2, USB ports are enabled in the BIOS.

Be nice, or people may not help you. If you want to be cranky, take it out on those you pay, not here.
