no connection

have win vista home on gateway laptop built in wireless was connecting to net fine then not last thing I did was backup.

use qwest actiontec m1000 modem with w1000 adapter. qwest help went thru trouble shooting as far as device man which had 1 item showing little yellow thing on 1 adapter.

means the driver for that adapter is either corrupt or gone. Since you didn't tell us what that adapter is, reinstall it.

Adapter can mean anything from USB, sound, video, NIC, wireless card, etc.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
