Question

No coaxial input option when setting up my television

May 15, 2015 9:07AM PDT

I've attached the coaxial cable from my cable box to my Samsung UN50H6400, but when I go into set set up there is no coaxial option available. The only options are the 4 HDMI inputs and the 1 component input available to select. I'm positive that I have it set up correctly so I am stumped on why I'm not even seeing the option. I sure hope someone can help me out. I haven't been able to watch any broadcast tv for 5 days now.

Few today have coax outputs. Let's hear about make/model and your cable tv provider.

I'm sorry for the confusion. You would select TV. The set up area that you are in would be to set up the universal remote with the cable box. You would be unable to use the universal remote with a coaxial connected cable box. It would have to be connected via AV, Component, or HDMI. For the best picture on your unit, we would actually recommend contacting your service provider to get a newer box that has an HDMI connection that way you get a better picture quality and sound quality.
