No capture

Jan 2, 2005 11:59AM PST

I just installed a capture pci card in my pc to transfer vhs tapes on my computer and burn them to
dvd.The product is called x pert dvd maker and comes
with a program called power producer 2 gold. My problem is when i start the capture prossess it seems
to go allright then when i try to watch the clip it's
just a black screen,no vidio and no audio.when i click
on the properties tab on the file it shows that it's
an mpeg file and that it's 60 mb so everything looks
ok but no vidio.I have switched cables tryed a different vcr and even tryed my cam corder and still
have the same results. I have also tryed sonic dvd program with no results.Have also tryed a couple of
different programs to play the vidio.

60 mb? A 2 hour mpeg2 file is about 4.7 gigs. I've never

heard of your product, but perhaps you should check your settings and instructions. What are the connections to the board, and what is being connected?

See if windows movie maker2 will capture from your card.
If it does then you have software problem. Also check out this link from user timwerx
