So the machine will likely not boot from the factory OS. These new BIOS's might not list other bootable USBs. In fact a few fail to boot anything but EFI. I can't know this, way too many models out there.

I see at https://imgur.com/zYH7QHI the reset and restore which should get it running again but I can't tell why you need to boot and what you want to boot which some find prying but it can matter. Some machines arrive with W10 and folk want to install 7 but what a mess as there are no drivers.

Anyhow, most of the time it's to install some Linux so I try the F9 key on power up to see if my current Linux distro on USB shows up.
