shows how to make usb media. When all is right make sure you have two admin accounts, one for spare.
Laptop (Windows 8.1/Toshiba) comes on and loads repair screen. Gives options for computer refresh, restore point etc. but won't allow me to choose them because it says there's not an admin account on the laptop. Restarting just leads to same screen. Trapped in a circle. It didn't come with a CD (there's no CD drive) so that's not an option either.
There's also full install media out there that I use to boot, from USB no less to get to repair consoles.
I don't use these to install from, just to boot and get to the repair consoles.
The NEW way is to create USB boot sticks. The last dozen laptops had us buy a dozen 16GB memory sticks to make the restore sticks.
