Nintendo wii over hdmi converter won't work

by Jacksiback / November 2, 2014 10:50 PM PST

I try to connect nintendo wii ->composite cable -> hdmi converter ->hdmi cable -> Samsung TV UE46D6500 and this solution does not work. I try with another hdmi cable and on all 4 hdmi port but result is same. Simple, I can't chose hdmi because is gray (can't choose). IPTV device and android box work with same hdmi cable on every hdmi ports on this TV. But, when I try same setup with my my syncmaster t240hd monitor/tv: nintendo wii ->composite cable -> hdmi converter ->hdmi cable -> Samsung syncmaster t240hd everything works ok. What could be a problem? Both hdmi cable I use are 2 meters long. Could be a problem long hdmi cable or converter? I plan to invest in another converter but not sure problem is with converter.
Thank you in advance

My TV does not have composite input
by Jacksiback / November 3, 2014 3:26 PM PST

Hi Bob,
I forget to mentioned in my first post but my Samsung TV UE46D6500 dose not have composite input. Why is so, I don't know but if you google this model mostly it will show composite. Back side of my TV looks like Samsung UE55D8000 Actually, there is some component in input but I need to buy some samsung adapter cable. Since I already have hdmi converter I would like to avoid to buy additional cable.

Good thing you didn't buy that. Since I can't tell which model you have I'll have to wait till the full model number shows up to comment again.

Hi Jacksiback,

Thanks for reaching out to us. I'm sorry to hear you're having that issue. Was this TV purchased here in the US? We typically only support US based models here, but you can use this link to find full support for your country if it wasn't:

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
