One more thing that impresses me is how Nintendo is making a PROFIT off of every Wii sold. That means they didn't jump on the next-gen bandwagon to the point where they were taking huge hits on the hardware hoping to make it up on the software. They stuck to a family friendly price and still managed to completely rework the way people will interact with their consoles. Good on ya, Nintendo!
Am I the only one who thinks Nintendo is in the lead?
First of all the Nintendo Wii has gotten extremely popular since its showing at E3 and got "Best in Show" awards. Playing with one has gotten me exited, it has given me the innovation I desired the entertainment factor was just awesome and it promotes a more active style of play with the new controllers. Which is good because I don't like seeing my little brothers like zombies all day especially on vacation.
The Nintendo DS and DS Software have gotten Nintendo 80% of the market-share and ten of the ten top games in Japan where all from Nintendo giving it almost full supremacy of sales and popularity and totally smashing the Sony PSP. This is also true in several other countries.
Nintendo was actually able to successfully sell two learning and training games which seems amazing, and they are actually are about to release a game that teaches its users common courtesy and etiquette which has gotten a lot of attention in Japan.
Nintendo's handheld power has withstood the Sony PSP without much effort with quality gaming and innovations in its hardware and software. And the new Mario, Kirby, Zelda and not two mention both new Pokemon games which have not been released will give it another huge boost with great sales.
The future looks bright for Nintendo...
I love Sony but I don't understand what they are trying to do the PSP is failing and they are tons of problems with the PS3 all the news that's about Sony is either about how they are getting sued or about all the problems and delays with the PS3. I mean this is from a company that makes awesome quality electronics. I mean all of the TVs in my home are of Sony brand, from my three faithful 20 inch Trinitron TVs to my gorgeous 60 inch KDS-60A2000. I have tons of Sony merchandise even those Sony batteries.
Microsoft's XBOX 360 is doing OK but not too great XBOX Live has been really fun but I'm getting a little bored. That's all there is to comment on the 360. Dead Rising has gotten me back to the XBOX 360 since I got tired of Oblivion and I'm looking forward to Saints Row. I personally think the PS3 is gonna have a problem with 360 because GTA 5 and a few Square Enix games will be on the 360 and probably sooner not to mention a few others that used to be exclusives to the PS franchise some will even make it to the Nintendo Wii.
You notice how im not a FANBOY... nothing but facts, but if I had to pick and order of the top three as of now then its:
1, Nintendo (9.4)
2, Microsoft (8.2)
3, Sony (5.7)
This pretty much represents a lot of the gamer polls out there. Out of the three I would pick Nintendo, one thing I have not included was the PC game & hardware market if it was included i would give it:
X, PC gaming & hardware (12.7) (Out of 10.0 max)
Cant wait for DirectX 10 and the new video cards.
LONG LIVE VIDEO GAMES AND CONGRATS TO NINTENDO.
