$3,600

I wondered what the street price would be on that camera.

They say ... arriving in August.
I'd bet, their initial stock of cameras is already sold out.

I'll bet there was no "initial" stock.

They are just open for advance orders. Those who get in line get them first. Would you want one of the first copies? That's not my cup of tea.

I'd wait

If your current DSLR isn't junk then I would wait. They'll drop in price fast....look at where the XSI is now. The other thing is wouldn't you want to see a review and see how well it performs? That's a lot of money to spend blindly.

Bait and Switch Price

In reply to: I'd wait

The dishonest bait-n-switch shysters are showing the D700 as "in stock" and priced from $2,300 to $2,700

Brooklyn jackals on the prowl.

A few people should bite that bait.
P.T. Barnum was right.
