The 4800 was Nikon's first try at a long lens camera.
But it was too little, too late.
It was not a good selling camera.

The competition was showing 10X and 12X cameras while the 4800 had 8.3X.
The competition was offering image stabilization, the 4800 was not.
The competition all had manual controls, the 4800 does not.

Between these two cameras, you should choose the A95.
