Nighthawk R7000 looses ip configeration

My Netgear Nighthawk R7000 keeps loosing a valid ip configuration. This
will keep me from connecting to internet or wirless unless I reset the router.

Also even though I have both bands 2.4 and 5.0 set up no device will connect to the 5.0G band, Only to 2.4 band. I have IPhones 7 and 6 and according to Apple they should.

Any help would be certinally appreciated.

A few things to start.

1. Did you start with a factory reset and not tinker too much with the settings?
2. Is the firmware current?
