Question

Nexus Tableet

Nov 22, 2013 1:55PM PST

How does everyone feel about the Nexus Tablet? I looked at it in Best Buy and I told the salesperson that I want a tablet mainly for emails and to check things out on the internet. I don't play games and I do not do any money transactions on any computer. I'd appreciate hearing how the readers feel about the Nexus Tablet. Thanks much (in advance)

At the office I get to use a few models. The Nexus is my fav because it's unadulterated Android. Some may want the Samsung and at the office we have a Transformer with it's 14 hour battery. Very nice.

Parting tip. Install Chrome and get better web compatibility.

R. Profitt, thanks much for your information. The one thing I don't quite understand is you said for me to install Chrome which would give me better web compatibility. Does this mean that if I don't install Chrome, I might have some problems when I'm searching for things on the web?

All I know is that the stock browser doesn't work with a lot of sites. I don't have the latest Nexus and as far as I know they don't install Chrome browser for you.

Out of curiosity, why would we hesitate on that item? Why not install it and get the better web browser?

Bob, the only reason I was confused about installing Chrome if and when I get the Tablet is because I've never used Chrome as a Browser, so it is somewhat "foreign" to me. Sounds like I should install it when I get the tablet.
Thanks again,
Ursula

They issued KitKit (their latest) and it's all installed. Painless and like a neutron, no charge.
