A note on that...

Currently, clicking 'next unread' in an unread post will not take you anywhere while clicking 'next unread' in a read post will take you to unread posts that appear after, but not before, that post in the thread. These are quirks that should be fixed in the near future.

Does that describe the issue you're seeing?

Unread

John

What I am seeing is that folks in V&S are posting unread threads amongst read threads.

Today thread #10 which was unread and brought up from thread #1 had two other thread further down but clicking on #10 would not advance to the other unread threads.

Later today thread #12 did the same thing.

Yep, that's this issue...

#10 was unread, so when you clicked "next unread" it thought '#10 is unread; show him #10.' Until this is corrected, to read the next unread after #10 you'd have to click "next unread" on a post after #10.

Still seeing a similar problem
Mar 13, 2011 12:17AM PST

But with next unread post in same thread but on a different page.

Sometimes I have to go to next page using links at bottom then use next unread to go anywhere.

It seems to loop back to the first post that was unread when I opened the thread. Just today had the problem reading a thread. Sometimes there was no effect, which might be linked to John's explanation of being on a post still marked unread. But sometimes I advance through the next unread posts and it loops back to where I started. This continued until I manually advance to next page then next unread post seem to work ok.

Have seen it more than once, in fact, it seems more often lately.
