Without it I was disappointed in the picture with fuzzy interference type stuff I was getting with the new big screen & new A/V. My fuzziness/interference went away. A black & white difference to me.

Not currently in the market, I have noticed some very tempting price drops recently. Be advised that because of the sub prime mortgage fiasco hitting the economy so hard - early seasonal sales are being reported as it's going to be a bad retailing year. So, some sellers are doing the early price cut for attention. That makes for good values for us. So, the cheaper model looks quite good to me.
I was thinking about getting panasonic pro plasma from new-egg. I hear great things about the set and they are selling it for a very good price. I don't care, for the time being, about 1080p and I have a surround sound system so tv audio isn't important. Nor do I care, either way, about a stand. As I'm going back to newegg to check out the price, I see virtually the same plasma, plus a wall mount, for $200 less. The newegg customer service people confirmed the set was not refurbished or used but couldn't tell me why the almost identical set was $200 less and came with a stand. The input specs looks slightly different as does the formatting of the pages for the sets, but they look like they are the same set. Can anyone tell me if there is something I am missing.

One last thing, I was also considering a power conditioner. Are these really worth it. Is it worth it to step up to one that filters power and regulates power. I was looking at this one on newegg for $350.
