Newbie - Spywear Blaster Question

by msmiz / December 17, 2004 12:11 PM PST

I have Spywear Blaster and Spybot Search & Destroy on my computer but today in checking for updates on
Spybot & doing "immunize" a message appeared that read:

"you have Java Cools SpywearBlaster installed. Spywareblaster will give you much more control on Active Xprotection. Click here to download".

Should I download this? Would it still be free?

"Should I download this? Would it still be free?"

Definitly Yes and Yes

You already have it, on mine

the last part of it says "click here to run it" NOT "click here to download". It would only say that last part if you did NOT have SpywareBlaster already unless you have some kind of glitch in your Spybot Program. On mine, IF I click there, SpywareBlaster just comes up on top of Spybot. I often to that if I'm just checking for updates on both of them.

they already had it. quote" I have Spywear Blaster and Spybot Search & Destroy on my computer but today in checking for updates on

which is why I was confused as to why the message would say that IF msmiz ALREADY has it.

MSMIZ, you do have it already? or not?

as long as it is
by roddy32 / December 17, 2004 12:46 PM PST

already enabled, it is already running so it doesn't really make any difference if you click it or not. I DO simply because it makes me remember to check SpywareBlaster for updates once I DO click on it. Other than that, it doesn't really do anything except for bring SpywareBlaster up on top of Spybot.

One of the best French door fridges we've tested

A good-looking fridge with useful features like an auto-filling water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It was a near-flawless performer in our cooling tests.
