Question

Newbie Messenger Question

Jan 8, 2012 4:34PM PST

Hi folks,

I'm on Windows 7 Home Premium

How do I know if I have a message from one of my messenger contacts?
I logged into my Hotmail account and I have a (1) at the top of my
screen beside Messenger. When I click on it the name of my contact
appears. But the thing is there is no message. Just the person's name.
Does that mean they have just let me know they want to
talk?

Thanks

I did ask there yesterday at Tech Support Forum. I asked there and here because it sometimes it takes quite a while to get an answer if you only ask at one forum, if you get one at all, and sometimes you don't get a satisfactory answer at the other forum.

Now, do you have an answer to my question?

Yes..

Since there is a (1) there and no message you have encountered a bug. That's all that is and the company behind this app and site is one that by now you should now rarely gets it right.

There are some that can't accept that and we'll want till they see enough bugs and then they get the message.

Actually I think it means 1 person is available on messenger.

Good to read that.

But I found Hotmail was never the same since a few years ago. Now I've seeing trouble in the land of Skype.

I wonder.
