Okay, I do not want to sound completely DUMB - but what is the best way to download music? I do not have an MP3 or IPod - just want to download onto a CD. Is there a particular site??

iTunes is very easy to use. You can burn CDs without

having an ipod, and buy songs at $.99 apiece. However, as with the others, what is downloaded is NOT CD quality. It is compressed, and has lost some quality. It is, however, very comprehensive and easy to use. I'm sure the other major download sites are comparable, but I'm not interested in MP3 com pression as my original source.

You can also try a program called Rhapsody 25. It will give you 25 free and legal music streams per month as well as ad free radio. The selection is great and the music quality is top notch. You can also burn the streams to CD. Here is the link if you are interested: www.rhapsody.com/freemusic .

I actually decided to upgrade to the subscription version of Rhapsody this weekend. After trying it out with the free streams, I decided this was my best option. The price was right and I was blown away by their selection since they include alot of indie music that you can't find on alot of other sites. I also got alot more chanels to choose from on the ad free radio which made my subscription to XM pointless.
