New York City Broadband Providers

I live in Astoria NY, and I'm wondering what broadband service providers you would recommend.

I'm currently using Verizon DSL. The speed is decent, reliability is excellent, price is meh, customer service is literally the worst I've ever experienced.

I'm trying to decide if I should stick with Verizon, or if I can get a better value with another provider. Keep in mind, I don't want to get phone or TV bundled with my plan. Any suggestions?
