new wireless user--compatability questions

by Shawn / August 23, 2004 2:54 AM PDT

hi, I am moving into a house that only has wireless internet. I'm absolutely clueless about wireless. I have two different computers available, and I'd like to know which is better/if both can run the internet on the wireless setup. One is an HP Omnibook 5700 CTX (i think made in 1997). The other is an emachine desktop that I bought new in 2000 (it has an ethernet card right now). Are either able to use wireless? And if yes, what do I need to purchase for them? the roommates already have wireless in the building. thanks for your help!!!

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
