However if an application wants to launch and not get focus then said software can ask Windows to do that. Again if I was unclear, this is not a feature of the OS and there is no control to get this effect.
On my Ubuntu systems when I'm working on something, and I try to open a new program (ie: firefox) If I have a text editor or another program in focus, and I'm using it (ie: typing a note) then when firefox loads it pops under my current window to avoid interrupting me. This is something I've grown accustomed to, but I cannot find a way to make Windows XP Pro SP2 behave the same way. Anyone know how to do this? Thank you
