Check with Toshiba's support site to see if they released newer drivers. We have a (heated) discussion somewhere about new laptops, Vista and a wifi card driver issue but the short and long of it was the driver needed an update.

You might have set the machine to "only connect to preferred networks." Fix? Add the hotel to the preferred networks and tell your firewall to allow this connection.
