New Viera TV, teething troubles

Apr 15, 2015 5:22PM PDT

A couple of weeks ago I picked up a Viera TX55AS650 TV, to replace my trusty Sharp 42". Overall very impressed, but I have a few issues:
- I can't get the TVAnywhere to work. Even when in the house and on the same wifi network as the TV, I get the channel list on my tablet but most links don't work and those that do, the picture freezes after a few seconds. Anyone get this working properly?
- Freetime: I much prefer the Panasonic TV guide, which I have configured so that the channels are in a sensible order. But the Freetime guide could be useful. The problem is, the channels don't all show their name and I don't seem to be able to re-orde them, so searching for BBC1, for example, means scrolling through the list until I find something that looks like it may be BBC1. Any ideas?

Yesterday I added a USB HDD, so that I can use this as a recorder. Easy to format and works great. What a shame I can't use the HDD to load up photos and music. Why have Panasonic disabled the ability to do this? Also, the HDD can;t be read by a pc once it's formatted for the TV. What are Panasonic playing at?
