Mar 11, 2004 5:37AM PST

I know in the new XP systems you can have different users and you can choose which one you want to sign on under at start up, I have windows ME and I was wondering if you could add new users and have like muiltiple users like you can in XP, sorry Im not as technology smart as most of you , in case you need to know, i have a hp pavillion with windows ME as earlier stated. Thank you soo much in advance

The new user is simple to make. If you press start, and see a logoff, then do that. Type in the name and optionally a password and click OK. The new user is created, but be aware that this does very little to keep ones files apart from the other users.

There is NO file protections or much else here. About all it can do is help have their own email and such.

"can it keep them seperate on the windows xp systems,"

If you prepare the XP machine with NTFS, then permissions, ownerships and such all are in play.
