Question

New tv

Oct 14, 2015 11:21AM PDT

Hello I bought a new TV, Panasonic Viera TX-55CX802B from John Lewis and i'm not sure if its a issue or not. I have gray color around the edges of the screen, I thought it was something to do with the back-light. I used all different backgrounds, it has shown on all apart from black. If it was an issue with Backlight Inconsistency surly it would show:

It shows nothing on black, what it could be and whats the technical term? As you can see a know very little about this and I really don't mind if you correct me Happy

Are you watching some low resolution video...or are they all that way. If it is then I think it's time to return it.

Answer
That's what I see on most LCD TVs when it's in a dark room.

The only system that may fix that is OLED TVs. But a little light in the room and you shouldn't notice the light leaks.
