And you'll see that it's only a few ohms. Your test seems to show the filament has burnt out.
Be aware that you can get ripper off by those that sell the lamp "cheap," They sell burnt out lamps.
I have a 52" Toshiba LCD projection TV 52HM84. I have replaced the lamp (TB25-LMP)couple years ago. Now is my 2nd time to replacint it. But when I got my new lamp, plug it in, did not work. Took it out and ohm it (meter dial set to max resistance), no reading. It is open circuit. What is the lamps' theory of operation? I believe it has parallel connections; one is for the light, one internal wire in bulb is for the TV to detect the circuit continuity so that it will turn on the light. Please help. Thanks, Andy
