New to webhosting,help desperatley needed

I have a forum type website,i have now bought a webhosting package,the thing is,i have spent nearly a week there and still dont understand how to use it,is there a way to understand all thats in the control panel,without having to learn a different language,as i only speak english,not double dutch,its all new to me,im hoping to use it in conjunction with my forum,ie,pictures,music,etc.

Hope someone can help.

Thanks for getting back to me,when you say i may have to learn a little geek,that sounds painful,im not a natural geek learner,is it very hard?,and are there many types of geek?,and if so,is there anywhere i can go on the web and get simple step by step,in simple english on how to use this web hosting package of mine.
