One other item is I would like atleast 20x optical zoom for the longer shots. Once again Thank you for your help and advice. Bruce
I bought a JVC HM300 HD camcorder and I am less than impressed with it. It is close to useless, image quality is terrible at best and the image stabilization does little if anything. It was a good price and the salesman said it was a really good camera but I do not like it. I have decided I will have to take it back and get something that will work but do not know what? I rarely ever take anything back but this camera does not cut it.
My use is for recording car races, some varmit hunting videos and some videos for my business on how to perform general maintenance and training videos.
Good image quality and image stabilization is very important here. As always price is important, I paid $269 for the camera but if it does not work then it is wasted money. I do not know or care much about what type media to record on SD card, CD, hard drive etc so I am looking for your opinions there to.
I would like to keep it under $500 if possible and please let me know if that is an unrealistic budget for a decent camera that will fit my needs. It will not hurt my feelings if you think it is impossible.
This is my first post here and I know nothing about camcorders so please be gentle and give me your best advice on what to get. Thank you, Bruce
