New to all this - Advice needed

Feb 15, 2006 5:29PM PST

Hi, I need to buy a PDA and need some advice. It needs the following (all as important as the other)

1. Phone and SMS
2. Excel
3. Email
4. Web Browsing

Also, what is the web browsing like. Is it the page seen on a desktop, or more of the WAP sort of page?

Also, being in Australia not all models may be out, so a few suggestions would be appreciated

Many thanks

Have someone demo the Treo 650 and 700 to you.

The only downside are those service plans...

PDA suggestions
Feb 22, 2006 7:21AM PST

check out the following PDA phones:

Nokia 9500
Nokia 9300/9300i
Sony-Ericsson P910i
Sony Ericsson P990
Palm One Treo 650

It would be advisable to do a little research on the type of networks supported by service providers in your country of origin. For me, personally, I'd pick the P990 if it's available there because it has everything you can ever wish for in a PDA. If you're looking for the PDA phone with the most bang for the buck then I would suggest the Treo 650. It's fully customizable and straight-forward. Accesories are not on the cheap side though but software for different types of applications are abundant.
