Question

'New' Tablet appears used

May 20, 2013 10:16AM PDT

Have just bought a new table (Ippo) from China. It was originally wrongly delivered to another of the seller's customers but eventually forwarded to me.
It appeared to have been opened because the corner of screen protector was folded back and there were bubbles everywhere. Before connecting to my wifi I noticed that 3 other sites had been connected previously. Also in the older history I could see that it had been used to connect to Chinese websites.
The seller says that the wifis and web searches were part of QC - Quality Control, in China. Is this a common problem or should I suspect that it has been opened and used by the person who received it first? Thank you.

Answer
Widely reported.

Not much to repeat here but folk have reported such before. But, nothing is exactly new. When a product is made it has to be tested one by one and if the production is cheap, they won't bother to put on a shiny bubble free protector. It's to be removed anyway and this is all about cost and not about quality.

Thanks. I guess that it's the old story that 'you gets whats you pays for'!
