new tab versus new window

what's the difference?

when i rarely use IE6 i use new window, and in firefox i got used to using new tab, but i don't see a difference...

I prefer new tab. New window makes a lot of items for the taskbar. New tab, everything is clickable at the top.

The greatest benefit is that you no longer have to run multiple instances of a single program, such as Internet Explorer, reducing the amount of RAM you must use to have the same number of websites open. It also helps reduce the clutter on your taskbar, instead listing all open websites inside your browser.
