Since it's a 32bit OS bring it down to 4GB. The issue of more than 8GB on XP has been discussed so let's get that out of the way.
That said, games do still fresh on even good hardware. This is not a perfect system so while you have new gear, that doesn't mean it won't lock up. Just last week we say a new off the shelf system locking up on Fallout 3 New Vegas. Turns out that is well reported. No fix was issued for that one yet if you try again it works. Very upsetting to folk today.
So I bought a new motherboard, RAM, and SSD. Here are my components:
OCZ 700MXSP 700W PSU
ASUS Sabertooth 990FX R2.0
Phenom II 955 X 4
XFX GTX+ 9800
G.SKILL DDR-1866 PC3-14900 8GB X 2 CL 10-11-10-30
Hyper X SAVAGE SSD SATA III 240GB
Windows XP SP3
Computer randomly crashing while playing D3 RoS. Lasts longer on lower resolution, but still crashes randomly.
I have all the latest driver for the video card and Im pretty sure I have all the correct motherboard drivers installed.
