Question

New Soundbar-Old Plasma TV

Aug 20, 2015 6:34PM PDT

Hi,
I have an older Panasonic plasma tv (2005) with 2 hdmi inputs, and also an optical out port. The new Vizio sound bar I bought only has 1 hdmi input. I have 2 hdmi devices and am not sure how to hook up?

I've heard that most tv's, especially older ones do not process true digital sound. I was going to hook the hdmi devices directly to tv, then run an optical out to sound bar. Or possibly buy an hdmi adapter with multiple ports and plug my devices directly into the sound bar. I'm confused! Don't know how I should do this. Help! Thanks
Jeff
