i have not checked out the site
Feb 21, 2006 1:44PM PST

but i'm 99% sure the 55xs955 and 60xs955 are OLD lcd models from sony. the case looks exactly the same as the new sxrd xbr models, but the technology inside is different.

i remember cause these tv's were VERY popular when they first came out about 14 months ago. but now the sxrd's have replaced it.

i'm about 80% sure the 70xbr950 is also the same. sony is not great at updating their websites.

i may be wrong though.

sony 70xbr950

That's great! I bought a 70xbr950 here in Florida for $3999 on 1/23/06! The 72 inch Toshiba was also $3999, if you want DLP(more parts to worry about). But, sorry, I'm a Sony lover from way back, and in appearance, I liked the Sony better, even though the Toshiba was 2 inches bigger and had a slightly brighter picture(the lamp may burn out sooner). The Toshiba had an excellent picture too, but...........

IT'S A SONY, NO BALONEY!
