Question

new software

by lexigist / April 8, 2014 11:03 AM PDT

These days new software is often downloaded. My question is, if I purchase new software be it Microsoft Office (now they want you to repurchase annually) or Avanquest progs for example and my computer dies shortly after can I re download as I own the programme?
And what happens if there is a hitch in the download process?

Most software can be downloaded over and over but

the most important thing is the key. In other words software today is basically downloaded as trial versions but when a key is entered they become activated and the real version. Even when you buy a new PC from Best Buy they have a trial version of Office. When you purchase it from MS you just add the Key they give you and it activates and become the real product and not a trial.

Office 2013 is yours once you pay for it and you can install files locally or to the cloud if you want. 365 is basically the cloud version of 2013 and you can only store in the cloud.
