The only thing I know about the Inverter & Data Cable is that they don't come with the screen. Could they even be affected by water? Are they replaceable? I haven't found any on ebay so I am beginning to wonder.
If this is a dumb question please let me know and I'll move on. I know software and peripherals, internal laptop hardware is new to me. Thanks again.
I have a Dell Inspiron 1501. I spilled water on the keyboard. After it dried out for a couple it boots up, welcomes and everything is good. Except i can't see the screen. If I tilt it all the way back in the right lighting I can see it, move the mouse and even did a system restore. Later I was able to hook directly to another monitor and it looks great.
My question is do I need to replace the whole screen or might the water just affected the Inverter & Data Cable and I just need to replace them? All the screens I found on ebay do not come with an Inverter & Data Cable. Are they easy to replace once I get the screen off?
