I have exactly the same problem! Do we share a television? If you can get yours working let me know, I'm completley bamboozled and mystified. For the last 2 and a half hours I've been wandering around in a quagmire of demented pain and sorrow, all because of the tormenter; the Samsung LED Ua32d4000nm and it's semi ******** AV/Component channel and leads. It has left the Wii sitting in the corner gathering dust and the DVD player is lonely and sad with no DVD's in which it can entertain me with. So forth I trod, through the confusing and paradoxial void which is left behind.

Hi, thanks for your help. I haven't yet attempted this with the DVD player, but I have with the wii. When I hooked the Wii back up to an old TV I went in to the settings but the option for EDTV/HDTV 480p was not able to be selected. Is this because it's on an old TV that's not HD? The only other option I could select is 60Hz 480I (it was originally on 50Hz), and that didn't work either. I changed the name of both the component and AV sources to 'Game' and I even tried 'AV receiver'. Still no luck. Any other ideas? Thanks.

Yes, I'm in Australia. And yes, all the components were purchased in the same region.

same prob, dvd not working on 32'' samsung led tv

I have the same problem. I bought 2 Samsung LED TV. One works fine, we were able to use the dvd player. But the other one could not detect the dvd player (same dvd player). We also tried connecting a digital camera but still it would not work on the other TV, while it works perfectly fine with the other.

Before we plug the cable the settings says 'component' and when we connect the dvd it says 'AV' and then there's a message saying 'check signal cable' or whatsoever.

Please help.

Thank you.

I have a 22 in LED TV from Samsung and I too can not connect Wii. I have spent over 2 hours playing with the concections, tried to re-arrange the AV coloured plugs and still NOTHING.

I Called Samsung 1 800 number and we tried many combinations and even brought out my DVD player and connected to the newTV (with AV connection --NOTHING, with USB connection-- NOTHING and finally with HDMI connection-- NOTHING). Looks like we have a LEMON. Samsung rep on the phone gave me a ref # and told me to take it back to Best Buy where I bought it.

hi there I had that problem also last time and now I fixed it, I thought there's something wrong, and I discovered the real problem was only the jack cord you need to use the cable cord jack thats the only way my friend.. in tv and dvd player theres is green cord then insert the yellow cord, blue jack cord you insert the white jack, then the red 1 is for red cord.. simple things you don't need technician I solved mine so you can too ok.. goodluck!!^_^

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
