Question

New phone battery not working.

by Yiggle1_ / November 8, 2017 6:55 PM PST

So I got a new phone, and decided to give my old one to my younger bro.
The battery's life wasn't great, so I ordered a new one from batteryclerk.com

The new battery had 80% charge, but...it doesn't charge. At all. When I plug it in, the battery icon changes to the usual charging icon, but then goes right back. The old battery charges just fine when put back in.

The phone is an Alcatel Pixi Glitz.
Here are some pics of the batteries-

Would appreciate help because after nearly two hours of searching
This was the only replacement battery I could find.

Where did you buy it? Seems like they sent you a bad battery.

Actually, after getting a new battery you should charge that battery at least for 12 hours irrespective of battery having charge or not.
In this case, you use the battery fully. Let it discharge fully, then try for charging the battery. In case this doesn't work, Battery clerk is a # 1 battery store in USA, they will replace your battery. It may take time.

Suggestion

I suggest you go ask for a replacement. It's pretty common for companies like those to mistakenly deliver a bad product. It may take 2-3 business days though.

Plug out the batterythen clean it , in the end place it in fridge with a plastic bag cover for 24 hours. Maybe it will work again.
