NEW PC WON'T LET ME USE KEYBOARD

Hello,

I have recently brought some new parts for my pc and I am not able to get into the bios menu are anything as the keyboard lights up but it does not let me press any keys, it is a usb keyboard, I have tried taking out the battery and also tried every USB port that the pc has, any help would be amazing,

That's Not Uncommon and Is Correct

Many BIOS setups require a PS2 keyboard to access them especially if they don't support UEFI BIOS mode.. The USB items to activate till Windows loads... UNLESS you access the BIOS first with the PS2 keyboard then browse the BIOS for an item called “Legacy Support” or something similar. Enabling it should allow you to use the USB keyboard correctly.

But it can cause issues if you're not going to use the USB keyboard. It's up to you. The link below gives some info about it. Here, if I need to access the BIOS, I simply swap in my PS2 keyboard and mouse for that session.

hello,

I brought the gigabyte GA-B250M-DS3H mother board, 4GB palit geforce GTX 1050Ti, 16GB hyper X ram and a evga 450 BT, but all i did to get it up and running was press the DVD drive when it booted up and now i am able to install a fresh copy of windows 10, thank you
