Question

NEW PC BUILD.. Suggestions?

Apr 13, 2017 4:46PM PDT

It's About Time...

Id really like to get suggestions on what ATX MOBO and CPU to go with to get the best out of the cpu and Ram speeds...

I'll list a few I've been looking at....not sure I should go with LGA2011 though cause I don't do 3D rendering but I do use Video Editing software. I hear its a waste of money if you're not using the cpu for 3D...If you disagree please tell me why I should get 2011 LGA.

Feel free to suggest any part over the ones I have in my list but please include an explanation as to why, thanks!

If your editing software can split the load to use all cores then the 6850 wins.

What did you think about the rest of the parts? I'm mostly using the pc for photoshop, some video editing, and 4k gaming. I'm wondering if I should go with a less expensive mother board and still get the same performance.... Any recommendations? Thank you Bob for you replies.

Case looks fine.
Mobo....your choice just make sure the cpu is on the support list.
Ram....if your planning on OCing go with the 3200.
Gpu....find a review on each of those models and do some reading.
Ssd....I have to wonder if you would see a difference between 500MB/s sata and 1000MB/s pcie.
