Question

New PC Build Freezing/Chrome Really Slow

Aug 12, 2019 3:15PM PDT

I just built this computer in Saturday august 10th.

I have

Asus Rog Z390-E
Intel i7-9700k lake house
G skill trident rgb 2 x8 gb ram
Cooler master 212 rgb processor fan
970 ego plus m.2 ssd 500 gb
Cooler master h500m
Gtx 970
Cx750m power supply

The issue I'm having is with my previous computer it would freeze for 15 seconds to 5 minutes. It happened several times a day no matter what game I was playing, but mainly happened with google or alt-tabbing. I got this new pc built in hope's it would fix it but it's still freezing. I'm not exactly sure what is causing it.
I got a few Event viewer 10016 but that's it. I have updated all of windows and updates bios, please help me.

Let's check the usual.

1. Current BIOS BEFORE the OS install.
2. After the BIOS a reset to BIOS defaults.
3. Install OS.
4. Install drivers in the order of motherboard chipset, audio and then the rest. DO NOT RELY ON MICROSOFT OR DRIVER FINDERS. Use the maker's web sites for these.

5. Any HDD in the mix? I just fixed another recently where the owner plugged in a HDD with very high SMART values in 01 and 07 and the performance took a dive. I use SPECCY to read that out.
