Question

New Panasonic smart TV and wifi issues

Apr 14, 2015 4:30PM PDT

Just bought my first Panasonic TV (48AX630) set it up fine, connect to internet via wifi but it keeps losing wifi and I mean that it seems like the wifi receiver stops working as when I do another setup it does not see any wifi networks where other deviceslike the dvd player, phone etc all see the networks ok. The firmware is upto date and the router is set to s good channel. If the tv is reset or turned off at the back then on again it will most of the time reconnect but I don't want to be doing that all the time. Any ideas?

The WiFi range is less than half of your common laptop. Start at about 20 feet to the router. Wired and powerline networks rule for this use.

My TV is around 50 feet from my wifi router and works with no problems. It's a good router though.

So it's solved?

50 feet is usually too far for smart TVs and many appliances.
