New MP3 Owner. How to load?

Jan 2, 2008 9:34AM PST

I only want to load my CD library on to my Sansa e200 4G device.
I have: Some of my CDs plus songs from my friends external hard drive loaded onto my computer. They went to Dell Jukebox by default. This is no longer is a working site, so I have migrated the songs to Yahoo Music Match. The instructions with my MP3 are not real specific and make things sound so simple, but what a mess I have. Do I need to buy something or pay a subscription price to move my own own music to my player? Does anyone have a basic method of moving music to this new device? I get all these license errors and device errors when I connect the MP3 to my USB. I had to step away and regroup. I'm ready to try again with new ideas. Please help!

1.) "songs from my friends external hard drive" is generally a no-no. If those songs are copyrighted they may not be "shared," and it may be the cause of the licensing errors.

2.) For the CDs you ripped, how was it done? Be sure the DRM option is not enabled when you rip personal CDs or else the songs may nt be transferable.

3.) Note that MusicMatch service has been discontinued. SanDisk recommends sticking with Windows Media Player or Rhapsody for syncing your music.

Thanks for the info. I've moved ahead using WMP and things are coming together. I'll keep your ideas in mind.
