I think this is nonsense. But the guys at Best Buy can easily prove they are right. They have a store full of Vista computers they can connect both to the Internet and to this monitor to show your friends.
In my idea a widescreen monitor should only show MORE (in the width, and possibly less in the height), not DIFFERENT (unless the website uses tables with percentages in HTML). But it's difficult to comment on the issue without seeing both it looks, the resolution of the monitor and the settings of the driver using both monitors and then comparing.
I would love to see their explanation.
Kees
My friends bought a new widescreen monitor and the free cell game and the crossword puzzles she plays every day do not display in the same size and the old monitor. They did try to change the ratio but that didn't work. The people at Best Buy told my friends that they have to upgrade to Vista to have the games display like the old monitor. Is this true? Is there something that can help them without upgrading?
Thanks,
Sheila
