New Models

Feb 23, 2005 3:45AM PST

DLP and LCD rear-projection TVs are rapidly becoming very popular, and as mentioned at this website, that means that (hopefully) over time prices will decrease. My question is, does anyone know the time frame that companies (for example, SONY) come out with newer models? Is it a yearly ritual type thing like the auto-industry, or just random??? If it is annually, what time of year do the newer models come out???
Thanks for the info.

since I sell the tv's I usually start to see the new models coming in around july. But sony doesn't have theirs come out until around sept. All manufactures are different and every year is different, but sometime inbetween the end of the 2nd quarter or early 3rd quarter.
